*** Windows XP SP2 issue ***

We found that we were not able to get the speeds we needed from Windows SP2. Apparently, there was a bug but there is a fix. Please use the following link to get the update.

*** Unibrain Fireboard800 card issue ***

Have you been using this adapter: http://www.unibrain.com/Products/p1394/FireBoard800_e.htm or the newer card?

The latter is the next version of Fireboard800-e (named Fireboard800-e V2) and it is quite improved from the original version. The original PCIe 1394b adapter had also a production flaw, which we noticed later and quickly fixed but you might have purchased it before the fix.

The problem was that due to a wrong resistor used, one of the 1394b ports performed at S400 instead of S800. The initial card had also Revision 4 of the LSI FW643 chipset, which the new one has Rev. 6, in which a lot of bugs have been resolved.
