Description:

The ISG LightWise LW-1.3-S-1394, 1.3 Megapixel Area Camera provides a High performance 1.3 MP CMOS Area Imager with high quality video and excellent response characteristics. The low cost and ease of integration into existing systems make it an excellent solution for a wide variety of applications. The interfaces to the Module are industry standard to provide ease of integration into target systems. Currently supported interfaces include IEEE-1394 / Firewire™. Additional interfaces available are USB 2.0 upon request under contract. The camera is customizable for new interfaces, customer specific image processing algorithms, and smart imaging applications.

    Full frame rate smooth digital panning with digital zoom capability.  This allows a region of interest of any size to be swept through the entire active viewing area via host computer control.

Camera Industrial Vision

Modular Architecture:
The ISG LW-3-S-1394 Digital Imaging Module hardware design is partitioned into four separate boards: 1) Sensor, 2) Controller, 3) Power Management and 4) I/O boards.  These boards are SMT type 2 (double sides) and are connected to each others as shown below:

Customizable via FPGA’s On-Board:
The On-Board FPGA allows for easy integration of custom algorithms and signal processing. Up to 1M gate equivalents and memory is available for custom hardware. This provides the user the oppty to offload high speed imaging functions from the host computer.
